This project combines the feel of a loft with the sensibility of a refined, two-story apartment. The heart of the duplex is a custom designed wood stair that replaced a standard spiral staircase and connects the living level to the upper level and roof terrace, with its floating monolithic treads. Designed as a pied-a-terre, the client liked it so much that they use it as a year round home.
