Chromacosm, Mumbai
Public Art —
Chromacosm for Asian Paints is a new installation by Suchi Reddy celebrating the launch of the world’s largest paint library.
Designed as a meditation on color in three dimensions, and inspired by ancient tantric paintings, Chromacosm is an experiential journey through the cosmos of color. The installation references the coming together of all colors, which in paint becomes black and in light becomes white.
Here, the viewer is invited to walk through and around a forest of vertical reeds experiencing over 2,000 shades of color that emerge and recede back to black.
Launched to commemorate the unveiling of Asian Paints’ comprehensive color library, Chromacosm is an ode to dimensional color.
The installation debuted in Mumbai on December 17, 2024, followed by a showing at ADFF/STIRworld in Mumbai from January 9-12, 2025. It will then travel to Delhi to be exhibited during the India Art Fair in February 2025.
