Kaija brings over 15 years of thought and design leadership to Reddymade, with expertise spanning architecture, interiors, urban design, and masterplanning.

Kaija Wuollet joined Reddymade as Principal in 2023. Her practice is deeply rooted in a vision of city-building, underscored by meticulous craftsmanship and a conviction that thoughtful design can enhance everyday life. Drawing inspiration from her Finnish heritage, Kaija possesses a profound connection to nature and craft, fueling her passion for the design and creation of objects, spaces, places, and experiences. An urbanist and entrepreneur at her core, she is deeply invested in the sustainable growth of cities and fostering a sense of community and place.

As the former Director of City Building at WXY architecture and urban design, her diverse portfolio includes collaborations with prominent clients such as Amtrak, Empire State Development, City of Dallas, New York City Health and Hospitals, New York Power Authority (NYPA), and NYC’s Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environment.

Prior to her tenure at WXY, Kaija led the acclaimed Detroit-based practice, Laavu, for a decade. There, she was pivotal in spearheading high-profile projects like the Pink Zoning/Mix Tape with the City of Detroit Planning Department, The Commons building, and the master plan for MACC Development, as well as numerous adaptive reuse projects across the city’s residential, commercial, and retail sectors.
