15 Central Park West

Interior Design, Residential —

15 Central Park West is one of the most prestigious residential building in Manhattan. The clients have a great interest in art and culture and for their New York City apartment they expanded their collection of Asian and American artists including Damien Hirst, James Welling, Shinichi Maruyama, and Yao Lu mixed in with Mughal antiques.

The apartment is a 2,700 square feet space with the commanding views of Central Park and the Hudson River. The family has very contemporary taste in design and we mixed pieces from Oscar Niemeyer, Vladimir Kagan, Edward Wormley, Jasper Morrison and Patricia Urquiola with custom designed pieces by our studio for a clean yet warm effect. We used custom textiles such as fabrics woven from ribbons in Colombia by Hechizoo and custom carpets woven from aluminum and grass, classic burnout fabrics by Jack Lenor Larsen, and new embroidered felts by Hella Jongerius to create warmth and texture.
