Designed as a concept for a cabin that is small in its footprint but expands to respond to site and seasons, UNFOLD is an idea for a deployable retreat into nature.

The sides of the cabin unfold to create decks that expand the usable square footage of the space, while also allowing for the building to be closed in when unoccupied.

The roof section is articulated into three telescopic shapes that focus and highlight aspects of the landscape that the cabin is deployed in. Imagined as a lakeshore retreat in a cold climate, this version offers focused views of land, sky, and water with a double roof.
